Creating a Machine
Complete the following steps to register a machine in Epsilon:
Click the Machines tab.
On the Machines page, click Create New Machine.
On the Adding new Machine page, enter the following details of the new machine:
- Machine Name: Provide a name for the new machine.
- Address: Enter the IP address of the machine.
- Port: Specify the port that is used to connect to the machine. For SSH connections, the default port is 22.
- OS: Specify the operating system used on the machine. You can select from Linux, Windows, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Stratus VOS, Cisco IOS, Juniper-JUNOS, or any other device that allows incoming connections. The default is Linux.
- Search Tags: Enter keywords that can be used to search for machines. This is particularly useful when several machines are registered in Epsilon.
- Comments: If required, provide additional information about the machine.
- Click the Add Machine button.
